About Us

What we do

Praxcore is a consulting firm specializing in financial and economic research, analysis, and financial advisory work.
We focus on project costing, due diligence, and financial analysis; operations analysis; financing options development and analysis; investment analysis; and, market research and development.
Though we’re constantly expanding our knowledge base, our current main areas of focus are on the healthcare/healthtech, education/edtech, financial services/fintech, and general technology sectors.

Who we are

We’re a small team of consultants led by Obidike (Obi) Juwah, CFA, Managing Director.
We follow the ensemble model, so our team expands and contracts depending on the consulting engagement’s size and scope.

With whom we work

Whether ourselves or partnered with other consulting firms, there are two main types of engagements that we prefer to work on:
1. Projects with multilateral development bank sponsorship (e.g., ADB, AfDB);
2. Startup to middle-market growth companies.
These seem like opposites, but they’re not. Our preference is to work on building “the new,” whether it’s a new government project or a growing company.
We also tend to work on complex or non-routine problems, ones where solutions need to be developed from scratch, or in markets that are under-resourced or underserved. So, if that describes your issue, we would be happy to talk.

Where we work

Praxcore is based out of Toronto, Canada with an Asia-Pacific representative office based in Hanoi Vietnam. We’re comfortable working in new, emerging, and frontier markets.
Our primary regions are Southeast Asia, West Africa, as well as North America, but we can work worldwide on-site or virtually.

How we do it

By being resourceful.
We deal with complex problems, often in complex markets, so our default expectation is that we’ll have to take an innovative approach to understanding and problem solving.
We’ve become specialists in working in situations with limited information, non-standard data, or instances where we have to source primary data ourselves.
We frequently have to stitch together disparate systems, data, reports, information, and analyses in unexpected ways to work through our clients’ problems.
In an odd way, we enjoy it.

Why we do it

We believe that everyone on this planet deserves a shot at a decent standard of living; however, we haven’t seen this yet. Instead, we see a lot of human potential just plain wasted.
We’re good at financial and strategic analysis, so we believe that’s where we can contribute.
Our objective is to drive and allocate as much capital as possible to projects, organizations, and companies that can productively put it to use to raise standards in underserved, frontier, and emerging markets.
Twinned with this, our second goal is to use our experience, know-how, and insights to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations of our clients, who in turn can unleash more human potential.
If this resonates with you, by all means, please get in touch with us.
